She was Ashley Magnus in the first and second seasons of the TV show Sanctuary until the role was cut from the script. Fans wanted her back despite the fact that the show had been cancelled. Ullerup was a part of the cast as Bree O'Brien on Chesapeake Shores in the year 2016. Ullerup was Maggie Thomas the estranged husband of Michael Thomas. Ullerup, who has a role as Dale Travers, is one of the recurring characters in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered and movies from 2016.

Paula Patton was the daughter of Joyce (Vanraden) and Charles Patton. Her father is African-American and her mother who is caucasian, has German, English, and Dutch her ancestry. Her family lived just across the street from the 20th Century Fox lot as she grew up and she was a huge film buff since her early days.
