Milena Govich

Milena Govich is an actress director, musician, and actor. She has directed numerous episodes of TV and film, including Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). She also served as Co-EP/Producing Director for Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018), and she is slated to direct two pilots that are in development. Milena was selected as one of eight directors in AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. Her short film and TV show proof-of-concept titled Unspeakable with Laura Vandervoort and Jeff Kober has saw its World premiere at SXSW and was awarded Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. The short film she made, Temporary (2017) is screened across the nation and was awarded Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest as well as the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has acted in over 100 TV episodes acting as an actress. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was a Dick Wolf series, was her second main character. This led to her being the Emmy-winning female detective on Law & Order (1990). She has been featured or recurred on numerous other shows: K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and also for the role of Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has been in numerous movies, including Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) starring alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) which starred alongside Method Man; as well as the role of #Lucky Number (2015). The native of Norman, Oklahoma, Milena was valedictorian in her high school before completing two majors in vocal performance and pre-med, with minors in dance and violin at the University of Central Oklahoma, and also being valedictorian of her graduation. Then, she used her classical ballet training to perform on Broadway in the Rob Marshall/Sam Mendes production "Cabaret" in Studio 54.
