Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actressand model, well-known for her appearances in daytime television, episodic guest appearances, and made-for-television movies. Sofer was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo on the soap drama General Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role on CBS's soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) to Susan Sofer and Martin Sofer. Martin Sofer is a Conservative Rabbi. After her parents divorced and her family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer and her brother David and father to Teaneck in New Jersey. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father ran the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is an co-educational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer grew up in North Bergen where her father was the rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. After having graduated from North Bergen High School she went to Montclair State College. Sofer played Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital. The first time she appeared on the show was in 1993 as the manager of a band. Her first major role was as Rocky McKenzie in the daytime soap series Loving (1988-91). Sofer is perhaps best known for her performance as Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 - September 24 1996). In the following years, she was an actor on the show (February 7-17 1997 September 30th to October 2nd 1997). Her portrayal of the outrageous Lois received Sofer an award. Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series. Sofer was asked to join CBS the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as the newly-created character in the role of Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired July 12. Sofer has appeared as a guest star/supporting cast member in a number of top-rated primetime television shows, such as Seinfeld and Melrose Place. The first episode of her debut aired on July 12.
