Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos (Canadian actress) is Tracy Spiridakos. She played Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's comedy series Majority Rules! between 2009 and 2010. Between 2009 and 2010, she appeared as Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) in the NBC series Revolution from 2009-2010. It was a post-apocalyptic science- series. The show was nominated for the Saturn Award as Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson played her character in the A&E television drama Bates Motel. Spiridakos has been a part of the NBC drama Chicago P.D. since 2017. as Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was brought up in Winnipeg, Manitoba by George Spiridakos and Anastasia Spiridakos, Greek-born restaurant owners. Spiridakos is the daughter of two brothers. The family relocated to her father's home town, Skala, Greece south of Sparta only a few years after her birth and then returned to Canada in 1992. She strongly feels that she is a part of her Greek roots, and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting when she was in junior high school and trained at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She got her first television role within a matter of weeks, a minor role on Supernatural. She continued to work on television by playing walk-on characters in Bionic Woman's The L Word, Hellcats, Psych and other shows. Spiridakos was part of the TV film Goblin and in the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos was also a part of Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast as her debut starring role in the role of Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! Her debut in the feature film world in the year 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes which she also directed the low-budget Michael Greenspan-directed thriller, Kill for Me, which featured her alongside Donal Logue and Katie Cassidy. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags, a Nickelodeon original movie. Spiridakos then was offered the part of the lead in Revolution in the role of Charlotte Matheson (survivor of an unimaginative future society) and telecast on NBC television. She auditioned for the role while attending her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos shot the pilot in Atlanta and shot the first season in Wilmington, North Carolina. The actress was nominated for an Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television for her performance in the first season but was beaten out by Fringe's Anna Torv. For the second season, production was moved to Austin Texas.
