Thora Birch

Thora Birch was born March 11 in 1982. She is an American actor, producer and director. Her debut film was Purple People Eater (1988) and was the recipient of the Young Artist Award for "Best Young Artistress Under Nine Years of age". Birch was a big star when she was when she was a child actor and was featured in films like All I Want for Christmas (1991), Patriot Games (92), Hocus Pocus (93), Monkey Trouble (1994), Now and Then (1995) and Alaska (1996). In 1999, she was nominated for a BAFTA nomination. Then, she starred as Enid in the critically acclaimed Ghost World (2001), earning a nomination for the Golden Globe for Best Actress. Birch was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2003 for her performance as the main character in Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story. Birch has also been a part of Dungeons & Dragons (2000) and The Hole (2001), Silver City (2004) and Dark Corners (2006). She was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2003. Birch was also the Whisperer Mary/Gamma in season 10 of The Walking Dead (2019-202). Birch was born in Los Angeles, the eldest child of Jack Birch and Carol Connors. Birch, whose family originally had the surname Biersch is German-Jewish and Scandinavian. Birch also has French-Canadian, French, and Italian ancestral roots. [6] Her name, "Thora," originates from the Norse god of lightning and thunder "Thor" which could be her name had she been a boy. Kian Bolt Birch is her younger brother, is her mother. Both are former adult film actors and were both part of Deep Throat. They were hesitant to promote Thora because of their experiences working in the entertainment industry. But, the babysitter noticed Thora mimicking commercials and encouraged them to show her photograph to agents. Birch was four years old when she had her first big break when the babysitter took her on a audition for a Quaker Oats advertisement.
