Emily Swallow

 American actor Emily Swallow, born December 18th, 1979. She is most well-known for her role as Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara / The Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. The actress is also famous for her character of The Armorer in the Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily was also involved in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on December 18, 1979, in Washington, D.C. Her family lived in Sterling, Virginia, as and Jacksonville, Florida. While at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville and then at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, she began to act in a variety of college, amateur, and professional theatre productions. Swallow earned a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She continued her studies towards an MFA in Acting in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She performed in the world premieres of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse as well as in a duet with Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins The play Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre, and also in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. She was awarded the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in 2010 for her portrayal of Kate in The Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman conceived a stage show called Jac N Swallow and performed it in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show centers on the humorous mishaps of the two who face different life challenges with varying degrees of sanity and decency.
