Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, born on July 23rd, 1970 is an American actress. She was Cordelia Chase in the supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She also appeared in Charmed (2004) and Kendall Casablanca's part in Veronica Mars (2006). Rebecca Sewell was in The Lying Game (2012)-2013. Lacy was the main character in The Expendables film franchise (2010)-2012. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the daughter of Christine Carpenter who is who worked in a bird sanctuary, as well as Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter has Spanish, French, and German origin (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter was a student at the Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas; she was also a part of a group of dancers and singers that performed in the Las Vegas Valley when she was nine years old.When Carpenter was 15, her family moved to Rosario Beach, Baja California, Mexico and then to San Diego, California. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter has traveled throughout Europe after graduating. When she returned to San Diego, she worked as a clerk at a video store as well as an aerobics instructor and as a property manager. She was a cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. Her move to Los Angeles in 1992. In 1991, Henry Hubbard Jr. assaulted her and two of her male colleagues while they were swimming in San Diego. He was a former San Diego cop and serial rapist who attempted to subdue the group with a gunpoint. During the battle the two friends as well as Hubbard were shotand forced Hubbard to flee the scene; both friends were able to escape the assault. Hubbard was found guilty and sentenced to 56 year prison for a string of rapes, robberies. Carpenter stole Hubbard's flashlight which was a police-issue flashlight, away from the shore. The flashlight was a crucial piece of evidence against Hubbard.
