Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy, born November 25, 1968, is a Canadian actress from Canada. Her appearances on American TV shows such as Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her lead character. She was also a part of films like RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and independent films Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The movie was directed and written by her. Hennessy was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father, was a meat and marketing sales/marketing executive. The job required significant traveling and the family moved frequently. Maxine, her mother, was secretary. Her daughter was abandoned by Eleanor her paternal grandmother in Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr., her younger brother, is Jacqueline Hennessy the identical twin who works as a journalist for a magazine and TV host in Canada. Hennessy is of Irish, French and Swedish origin, and has Ukrainian Roma and Austrian ancestry. After graduation from Grand River Collegiate Institute (both located in Kitchener), she went to Stanley Park Senior Public School. She also worked on the Toronto subway. Hennessy as well as her sister were among the first actors to be cast as twin call girl in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress chosen to play the role, said that she was shortlisted to portray Dana Scully in The X-Files. She portrayed the role for three seasons before being removed from the series as an actress in the year 1996.
